Phil Reilly is a Black List Recommended, almost* award-winning feature writer from Milton Keynes, England. As a journalist, press officer and speechwriter for British politicians and Silicon Valley tech execs, Phil has walked the corridors of power – and couldn’t help noticing how scuffed the carpet is.

He writes character-driven satirical comedies about outsiders on the inside – a candidate’s neglected daughter in the backstage frenzy of a presidential debate or a rookie reporter faking a story to save her job – but always with an eye for the absurd, the cutting, and the humanity buried in the bullshit.

Phil’s feature AMERICA DECIDES got second place overall in the 2025 StoryPros International Screenplay contest. The one before that, BULLET TO THE MOON, placed at AFF and was a finalist in the Golden Script competition.
